My Boyfriend is an Alien is a queer coming-of-age rhythm visual novel. Marco is the good son in a devout Christian family. Orion is kind, steady, and not from this world. Each chapter opens as a visual novel scene, becomes an original musical-theatre song you play as a four-lane rhythm game, and closes on the moment the song leaves behind. The free demo is three chapters and three original songs, about 30 minutes in the browser. Content note: coming out, a conservative Christian household, religious guilt, and an HIV-testing clinic scene. There is no explicit sexual content and no graphic violence. Most of the art and the music are AI-assisted. We plan to bring in human artists once funded. The story and writing are human.
