I made this with my son Leo, who's 9. He kept asking for "the FIFA draft thing but without the FIFA part", so we built it.
How it works:
- Pick your sport: football (soccer) or basketball
- Draft your team one player at a time from real playersm
- Each pick is a choice: a Safe pick (solid, ratings 80-92) or a Risky pick (anything can happen, including a troll pick)
- You can't see ratings while drafting, so it's gut feel, not spreadsheet optimizing
- Choose a formation, then play an animated match vs the AI
- Or play a friend on the same couch, or send an invite link and play online
- There's also a knockout tournament mode if you want a run
It runs in the browser, works on phones, and you don't need an account, just open it and start drafting. There are optional coin packs if someone wants to support us, but nothing is locked behind them.
Honest feedback welcome, especially on the basketball mode, it's the newer of the two. And let us know which sport we should add next
